This rectangular footstool was crafted in 19th century France in the Louis XV style with an upholstered seat and an elegant carved fruitwood base. The stool rests on four short cabriole legs ending in dainty whorl feet, embellished with simple acanthus leaves and six-petal flowers. The curved apron is carved with graceful parallel lines, a motif echoed in the carved legs and upholstery trim. The rectangular seat is upholstered in a geometric needlepoint textile in a palette of teal, light blue, and white. Beautifully aged with a rich patina, this footrest is in wonderful condition and looks lovely beside an armchair or sofa.

“I am particularly fond of PAGODA RED as we have known the family for so long. Betsy is a professional in every way and her intelligent taste comes from a long line of family knowledge in the arts. She and her team are the very best to work with and we find treasures with every visit!”
