Dated to the early 19th century, this pair of lightweight Russian armchairs stand on elegantly tapered sabre legs and feature low, arched backs and turned arms decorated with acanthus leaf carvings. The chairs are crafted of solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, designed with a low profile that makes them ideal for placing before a window or floating in the center of a room. The square seats have been reupholstered in a celadon green and gold fabric woven to resemble rippling water. With simple form and fine materials, these gorgeous chairs have a timeless appeal and layer beautifully into any interior.

From the collection of Frances and Gary Comer.
