Once a common sight in courtyards throughout rural China, this textured stone vessel was used as a grain or water trough for chickens and other barnyard fowl. Chiseled from a block of granite over a century ago, the simple trough charms with its uneven surface, textured interior, and asymmetrical contours. Recently drilled at the base with a small drainage hole, the trough is ideal today as a stone planter for flowers and greenery, indoors or out.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
