A celebration of wabi-sabi, this rustic elmwood bench from the late 19th century originated as a raised trough in a Qing-dynasty horse stable. At some point in its long life, the farm trough was transformed into a three-person bench, with special care taken to preserve the incredible textures of the hand-hewn timbers. Imaginative repairs and patches of inlaid wood tell a story of the wood's many uses and add to its timeworn character.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
