These 19th century cypress chairs with gently curved crest rails and undulating aprons were created by the age-old process of soaking, bending, and heating the wood to form it into the shape desired. The bent form legs wrap the top of the seat continuously. Cypress is respected for its smooth, tight grain and natural blonde color, and it suits the mellow mood of these chairs beautifully. They have an inimitable level of warmth and softness only achieved from over a century of use.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
