This vessel was crafted in the style of Heini black clay pots, a form of Yixing tea pots. Made of clay, this tea pot's dark matte pigment can be attributed to the addition of chemical additives like Manganese Oxide before shaping and firing the teapot. The pot features a metal handle secured to the shoulders as well as a lid with a maker's mark on the top.

This pot celebrates a return to the humble, natural roots of tea, made entirely of natural materials and artfully crafted by hand. A stunning work of art, this tea pot can now be admired as a decorative object.

Original knob to lid has been lost. Large chip to rim has been repaired.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
